Our Central Vietnam Catholic tour is offered Catholic travelers the chance to visit the Central Vietnam Heritage Site as Hue – Danang – Hoi An. The purpose of this Catholic tour brings the Catholic travelers known more about the culture, history thousand years and the daily life of local people of Central Vietnam.
Day 1: Arrive in Danang - Hue ( D )
Meet group at Danang Airport on arrival & transfer to Hue City. The coach ride is two and a half hours passing through paddy fields and the scenic view of Vietnamese culture. Enjoy Royal dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Hue City.
Day 2: Hue - La Vang - Hue ( B,L )
After breakfast, a 60 km coach ride to Vietnam’s National Shrine for Mass. It is here that Our Lady presented herself as Mother of God to the many Catholics who were taking refuge during the great persecution and suffering from sickness and hunger. She advised the people to use the leaves of the “La Vang” fern to treat their ailments and promised them to receive their prayers with maternal generosity. We will return to Hue City for lunch and break.
In the afternoon, we shop around the bustling Dong Ba market at Perfume River and visit the most recognizable landmark of Hue, historic Thien Mu Pagoda and the Citadel, the former site of the old capital of imperial city with temples, beautiful garden & tombs. Back to hotel for the night.
Day 3: Hue - Danang - Hoi An ( B,L )
We leave Hue for Hoi An ancient town, declared by UNESCO as a heritage site. On the way, we will stop at Lang Co beach and cross over the spectacular Hai Van Pass. Lunch will be served at Danang before visiting the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus built by the French Missionaries in 1927, also known as the Conga Church ( Rooster Church ) because of the weather cock on the steeple. Mass will be held at the grotto. Next, a short drive to discover the Marble Mountains & the view from the top must not be missed. Arrive in Hoi An to check-in to the hotel
Day 4: Visit Hoi An ( B,L )
Today, we explore the ancient town of Hoi An: Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Quan Cong Temple, Tan Ky old house & Lace making factory. After lunch, you are free and easy for shopping and exploring the old town on foot.
* Hoi An is famous for its reputable and affordable tailors. Getting your own tailored shirts and dresses is a ‘must-do’ here. Bring your own designs or ask for a recommendation if you’re feeling adventurous. Overnight at the hotel in Hoi An
Day 5: Hoi An - Danang Departure ( B )
After celebrating Mass in the morning we will check-out from the hotel and visit The Church of Hoi An and then transfer to Danang Airport for the flight back home. The trip ends here.
