Phat Diem cathedral in Ninh Binh was built between 1875 and 1899. Phat Diem cathedral is also the centre of the Catholicism of the North. The uniqueness of the cathedral is that it contains so much of the ancient Vietnamese architectural elements which make this cathedral look more like a Buddhist pagoda instead of a church. This building is actually not the church but the church of bell tower. The little tomb in front holds the body of father Sau, the priest who rallied the population to build the church complex. This trip brings you to visit the unique of church that were built by green stone, sightseeing the peaceful countryside of Vietnam. You also take a rowing boat cruise a long the river to see rice paddies and amazing Tam Coc Caves.

The whole complex were built by stone between 1875-1899 and has been classified as a historic and cultural relic. The cathedral is the main focus of worship for Ninh Bình Province's 140,000 Roman Catholics.
After lunch, we take an interesting boat ride to Tam Coc Caves ( Halong Bay inland ) that we will enjoy the spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and ranges of limestone mountains peaking up towers over you. We will return to Hanoi around 6:00 pm and trip ends at your hotel.
