Van Tri Golf Club is conveniently located 30 minutes from Hanoi city center and was North Vietnam’s first exclusively private golf estate. Van Tri golf course was designed by renowned architect, Peter Rousseau and as so presents the traditional values and solid approach that is forever exciting and challenging to play; one that will certainly stand the test of time. Van Tri is visually stunning as the right balance of blending together colors, textures, heights and elements of stone, water, sand, grass and trees to provide a great variety that defines each and every individual hole.

Playing to over 7,200 yards from the tips to 6,700 yards from the blue members tees Van Tri provides golfers of all skill levels the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf.  Laid out on relatively flat terrain, the course presents a challenging variety of well-maintained, predominantly pine-lined holes. Small moguls dot the fairways and highlight the sharp-edged green side bunker complexes. A god mix of holes provide for multiple lines of attack, forced carries on some holes, good risk reward for long hitters, and at the same time generous fairways and lay-up areas. The golf course shaping and conditioning are without a doubt the best in Northern Vietnam. Full Paspalum playing surfaces insure good fairway lies and excellent year round putting conditions.

The club house amenities include a main dining room serving both Vietnamese and international cuisine, well maintained locker and changing rooms, pro shop, and private rooms that lend themselves well to larger groups or VIP’s.

Tam Dao Golf Resort is located high in the Tam Dao Mountains.

Tam Dao golf course opened in 2007 was designed to be the best golf course in Vietnam. Golf course design company IMG used the natural land contours and local flora and fauna to create a visual treat for golfers. Large mountains in the back drop frame each hole and give the impression of one being in the Alps or Adirondacks. The golf course plays through a series of lakes and streams, making it one of the most scenic Hanoi golf courses. Sea Isle Paspalum is used on the tee boxes and fairways, while Sea Isle 2000 Paspalum greens ensure smooth and quick putting surfaces. Various tee boxes cater for players of all levels and from the tips experienced amateurs and professional golfers will be required to use every club in the bag to score well.

The key to scoring well at Tam Dao are the approach shots, many of which are to elevated and well guarded greens. The par 5 first hole is unique in that it requires golfers to lay up short of a water hazard some 200 yards from the green, or for long hitters go for the green in two. However, beware of the large tree front the left of the green as shots with not enough distance tend will easily get caught in the top branches. Equally challenging is the second hole on the back nine. The short par 4, only 353 yard, plays to an elevated island green with closely mown fringe and flanked by water on all sides. This demands an accurate second shot, to avoid a watery penalty. Other memorable holes include the dog leg par 5 tenth and the beautiful uphill par 3 second hole. Once again, both require accurate shots into the green to avoid tricky surrounding areas and hazards near each of the greens.

Excellent golf course maintenance consisting of double cut fairways, white sand bunkers, and close cut greens and fringes make playing Tam Dao a real treat. The course at Tam Dao is by far the best course in all Vietnam and rivals any of the exclusive member's only clubs in the USA or Europe.

The Tam Dao clubhouse is in itself a masterpiece and has extensive facilities more often found in a 5-star resort rather than a golf club. These include luxurious locker rooms, saunas, Jacuzzis, three restaurants, and two bars. Individual lockers are the most spacious ever seen at a golf club. After your game, be sure to spend some time in the club house to experience a level of luxury unparalleled at any other Vietnam golf club.

The top golf course, temperate weather, good highway access from Hanoi, and nearby resort town make Tam Dao a great choice for any Hanoi Vietnam golf package.

The project is being implemented by FINE AM Engineering Co., Ltd., a prestigious construction and design company that has successfully designed many outstanding projects in Korea such as the CJ Nine Bridges, which was in the world's top 100 best golf courses. The two golf courses at the complex saw the special participation of Mr. Robert Owen Painter, who constructed the Front Line Shaper of Kings Barns Golf Links in UK, which was among the Top 100 Courses in the World in 2005, as well as Mr. Ronald Gene Leck, who constructed the Sky Course Shaper of Sky 72 Golf Course in Korea.

With total capital of more than $150 million by DK ENC Vietnam Co, Ltd, the project is currently constructing the first stage of the Lake 18-hole golf course. Almost 80 per cent has been completed and golfers can now play the first nine holes. The rest will be finished by the end of this year to be ready for the Lake golf course's official opening in April, 2012. The whole project will be completed by 2015, bringing a high-standard golfing experience and luxurious lifestyle for golfers and tourists.

Phoenix Golf Resort is located 40 kilometers north of Hanoi in an area referred to as 'Halong Bay on Land'.

Phoenix Golf Resort is the biggest golf resort in Northern Vietnam with total 54 holes ( 03 Courses). It was opened 36 holes on 30th November 2006.

Phoenix Golf Resort is designed by Ronald Fream, each of the three courses at Phoenix makes use of severe fairway and green undulations as well as clever routing through and around the unique-looking limestone cliffs. Additional Japanese and Korean design inputs ensure that the surrounding environment is both well protected and stunning at the same time.

The three courses are named Phoenix, Dragon, and Master. The Master is a links-style open course, while the other two play in a more mountainous fashion. You may like to try the Phoenix course, but be sure not to miss a single hole on the most spectacular and best - the Dragon course.

The front-nine may well leave you speechless; such is its dramatic splendor and intensity. You can recover your breath on the inward-nine, where the layout gradually brings you back towards the clubhouse to a closing stretch that also contains many beautifully crafted, testing and immaculately presented holes. The long par-4 18th, with a deep watery ravine protecting the front left of the green, is as tough a closing hole as they come.

The huge European-styled clubhouse is on site with the intent to offer every modern convenience to those Hanoi golfers making their way to Phoenix Golf Resort. Unfortunately, despite the use of imported materials the facilities fall short due to lack of maintenance, poor staff service, and a general feeling of incompleteness.  Therefore, it is recommended to golf and get back to Hanoi before enjoying any after-round relaxation, food, or entertainment.

Its lighting system is of international quality, in service to golfers even at night.

Kings Island Golf Club construction of two 18-hole courses began in 1993 and the first front nine of the Lakeside Course opened for play later that year. Then the course flooded, and the back nine was left unfinished until 1997. The second 18-hole Mountain Course was completed in 2004. The Lakeside Course spans two islands and a peninsula lying in the reservoir. Views are spectacular, with the majestic Ba Vi mountain range providing a stunning backdrop to the man-made lake, while the Red River Valley stretches into the distance.

Heron Lake Golf Course Resort was designed to create a unique golfing experience in a peaceful setting in harmony with its natural surroundings. An abundance of palm and evergreen trees provide a picturesque setting to entice any golf enthusiast to challenge his/her physical and mental abilities.

Dai Lai Star Golf Club is 40 km from the center of Hanoi, on the foot of Ngoc Thanh Mountain, entwined around the beautiful Dai Lai Lake, proudly sits the site of Vietnam’s newest golfing destination “ Dai Lai Star Golf Club ”.

With great upkeep, a really strong design and a most pleasing lake environment, Dai Lai is an excellent test of golfing skills. Water comes into play on most of the back nice but still is not a major issue. However, negotiating the significant fairway and green-side bunkering and the large slick greens are more of a challenge. The modern clubhouse gives visitors to Dai Lai the feeling of being in nature, while still not far from Hanoi.
